Understanding User Roles — Organisation vs Event Access

Last updated on June 3, 2025

Not everyone on your team needs access to everything — and CloudJoi is designed with that in mind.
You can give team members access at either the organisation level (all events) or event level (a specific show only). This allows you to keep control while giving FOH teams, producers, or marketing leads just what they need.

Organisation-Level Access

Users with organisation access can:

  • View and edit all current and future events

  • Access Finance, Sales, Settings, and Analytics

  • Add/remove other users (if they’re Admins)

  • Access payout details, reports, and invoices

  • View all notifications and performer submissions (if enabled)

✅ Best for: producers, core team, finance, or anyone involved across multiple shows

Event-Level Access

Users added to a specific event can only view and act within that event’s dashboard.

They can:

  • Check in patrons (via Organiser App)

  • View the Orders, Tickets, and Check-In tabs

  • Access box office mode (if given box office permission)

  • Export ticket lists (if Viewer role or higher)

✅ Best for: ushers, FOH staff, event-day-only helpers, or guest team members

One User, Multiple Roles?

Yes! A single CloudJoi account (email login) can:

  • Belong to multiple organisations

  • Be an Org User in one, and an Event User in another

  • Hold multiple roles depending on what’s assigned
