What is an e-Invoice?

Does CloudJoi support e-Invoices?
Yes. CloudJoi supports e-Invoice workflows for eligible transactions processed through the platform.
Will e-Invoices affect my settlement?
No. Your existing commercial arrangement and settlement terms remain unchanged.
Organiser Questions
Do organisers need to issue buyer e-Invoices?
No. CloudJoi manages buyer e-Invoice requests and submissions for eligible transactions processed through the platform.
What is a self-billed e-Invoice?
A self-billed e-Invoice is generated by CloudJoi as part of organiser settlement and compliance workflows.
Does a self-billed e-Invoice replace my accounting records?
No. Organisers remain responsible for their own accounting, financial reporting, and tax obligations.
Where can I access my e-Invoices?
e-Invoices can be accessed through the Organiser Dashboard together with other financial documents.
Buyer e-Invoice Questions
⚠️ Important Notice
Following LHDN's interim relaxation period until 31 December 2027, CloudJoi will not be issuing e-Invoices for ticket purchases at this time. We plan to introduce an e-Invoice request option for ticket buyers by the end of 2026.
Can buyers request an e-Invoice?
Yes. Buyers may request an e-Invoice for eligible purchases made through CloudJoi.
When can buyers request an e-Invoice?
Buyers may request an e-Invoice after purchase but before the end of the month in which the purchase was made.
What happens if a buyer misses the deadline?
If the request is submitted after the end of the month in which the purchase was made, an e-Invoice will not be provided.
Do buyers automatically receive e-Invoices?
No. Buyers will continue to receive receipts for successful purchases. Eligible buyers may separately request an e-Invoice.
Corrections & Refunds
Can a validated e-Invoice be cancelled?
Yes, but only within seventy-two (72) hours from the time the e-Invoice is validated by IRBM.
What happens after the seventy-two (72) hour period?
The e-Invoice can no longer be cancelled. Any corrections must be handled through Credit Notes, Debit Notes, or Refund Notes.
Does a rejection request automatically cancel an e-Invoice?
No. CloudJoi must review and approve the request before cancellation can occur.
Will refunds affect e-Invoices?
Yes. Refunds may result in the issuance of adjustment documents depending on the circumstances.
Tax Information
Why do I need to provide a TIN?
Your Tax Identification Number (TIN) is required to support settlement, invoicing, and compliance workflows.
What if my organisation information changes?
You should update your legal entity information through the Organiser Dashboard as soon as possible.
What happens if my legal entity information is not verified?
Settlement and payout processing may be delayed until the required information has been submitted and verified.
